Using Concealer

In my opinion concealer is a magical product!

It is definitely a must have in your makeup stash :)

Concealer does amazing things for your makeup look and can be used for many purposes.

Concealers can be used to highlight dark areas as well as cover blemishes, scars and pigmentation.

There is often lots of debate over whether to use concealer before or after your foundation...  Personally I always do my foundation first, then concealer and set with a light dusting of powder.

Apply thin layers of concealer and blend well to avoid the cakey look :)  Try using a small brush or a beauty blender-type sponge.

For the under the eye area select a shade that is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your complexion. This will help cover any darkness and help brighten and lift your eye area.
If you go 3 or more shades lighter it won't blend with your colourings and will look very "obvious".

If you are wanting to cover any blemishes, scars etc try to choose a shade that is the exact (or very close) colour to your skin tone. This will help cover and disguise the imperfection.

Green concealers have been very popular more recently. Using a green concealer will help neutralize red zones on your face, like blemishes or red spots.
Using a green concealer may help cover up your blemishes but don’t use green concealer on darker parts of your face such as dark circles.
