Drugstore/Affordable Everyday Eyeshadow Palettes

Everyone needs at least one eyeshadow palette that has all your basics and neutrals covered. I've listed a few drugstore and high end eyeshadow palettes. In your basic/neutrals palette you want a mix of matte and shimmer shades.

A great drugstore/affordable option is the L.A Girl Beauty Brick Nudes Palette

This palette contains a mix of matte and shimmer with shades of pink, rose gold, gold, browns and plums. The only colour missing (in my opinion) is a matte dark brown or black, which would give you the option of adding drama for night-time occasions. The missing colour aside I do love the variety of shades & textures in this palette, they are really pigmented and apply nicely.

Another affordable option is the Maybelline Nudes Palette

This palette  contains shades to suit everyone - you have a great mix of matte and shimmer eye shadows, which I find essential. It contains shades of beige, pink, taupe, gold, bronze, browns and a black. I think this is a perfect every day palette with the option of adding drama for a night look. Its a good size palette, making it easy to fit in your makeup bag.

A palette to add to your dream list is the Morphe 350 Palette...

This palette is almost always sold out as the colour selection is amazing!  It contains every basic/neutral shade you can think of in warm and cool tones. It has a great mix of matte and shimmer shades and the pigmentation is incredible for the price. The only con is that the palette itself is quite large, therefore you can't fit it in your makeup bag or travel with it. This palette is super popular on youtube hence why it is sold out continuously.

Makeup geek are my favourite eye shadows for my professional makeup kit.

They come as individual refills which means you can customize your own palette. The great thing about customizing your own palette is that you know you will use every single shade because you chose the shades yourself. Each eyeshadow is only around $6-$7 which is incredibly affordable for how amazing and pigmented they are! Of course that seems really inexpensive but it adds up fast....

One product that I think everyone needs is a good eye base primer. Using a eye primer is important because it provides a base for the eye shadows to stick to. It also prevents the eye shadows from creasing and fading. Check out my post here on eye primers and the best ones to use: Eye Primers 101
