All about Konjac Sponges

Lets face it, I'm not a beautician however I do know a fair bit about Konjac sponges. They've been around for a while but I would say they're fairly new to the market in New Zealand. Not everyone knows about them, what they do etc So let me fill you in xx

The Konjac sponge originated from Japan. Its a 100% Natural sponge made from vegetable fibers of Konjac. It gently cleanses the face and body and is gentle enough to use on new born babies.

It feels like a hard rock but once it comes in contact with water it softens up completely to a sponge. The sponge is so soft and gentle it will not scratch your skin at all, what it will do is remove dirt and oil from the skin.

Benefits of the Konjac Sponge:

- 100% natural, sustainable & bio-degradable
- Removes dead skin cells, blackheads, dirt & oil
- Hydrates skin & balances pH
- Thoroughly cleanses skin pores
- Eliminates excess sebum
- Gently exfoliates skin
- No toxic & harmful chemicals
- Animal & cruelty free
- GMO Free
- Excellent for all skin types including sensitive skin
- Suitable for everyone from babies, women and men

You can use the sponge on sensitive skin, rosacea, and dry flakes that are difficult to buff away without irritating the skin.

As I mentioned earlier the Konjac sponge is very delicate on the skin, so its gentle enough to use every day. If you use it every day your skin will appear more clear and radiant because your removing the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin.

Shelf-life

There is no way to keep a sponge completely sanitary, so you want to throw it out after a month.

Removing Makeup

The Konjac sponge can remove your makeup as well but I prefer using a cleanser to remove my makeup first, then go in with the konjac sponge. This just keeps my sponge cleaner for longer.

When should I use it?

Day or Night. I recommend using it at night time so when you wake up in the morning your skin is feeling fresh, clean and radiant.

How do I use it?

Dissolve the sponge in warm water until it becomes completely soft, then you can begin massaging the area you want in circular motions. Remember you can use it for the face or body.

Are their different types?

There are so many different Konjac sponges. You'll find lemon, lavendar, charcoal, and many others that are targeted to specific skin types.

Konjac sponges are actually amazing for the whole family including young babies.

Try it out, there only $6 at LoveMy Makeup stores! You can either go into store or buy online, you will love them! xx
